Six countries implemented the assessment

30,000 Grade 5 students took part in the assessment. The countries engaged in SEA-PLM 2019 through their respective Ministry of Education and a National Technical Team leader. They represented their country during official governance meetings as a Core Member of the Regional Steering Committee.

The six participating countries were:

Cambodia,

Lao People's Democratic Republic,

Malaysia,

Myanmar,

Philippines, and

Viet Nam.
